81 Luke 1:37 Ungodly Pessimism recovery devotional
JMD Devotional 81 Luke 1:37 Ungodly Pessimism
For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.
Once, when I went through several months of deep depression, God used a book by Robert Schuller titled, “The Be-Happy Attitudes”, (a play on the beatitudes) to bring me out of it. In the book, Schuller asserted that pessimism was ungodly because it preempted God’s ability to come through in a situation (our lack of faith limiting His work.) With God all things are possible, and our faith should be an expression of hope.
Dear God,
The fact that You Are changes everything! It is is not all up to me, I am not alone, there is no God-forsaken place or situation. Please show yourself strong on behalf of those who trust in You.
Amen
