76 Nehemiah Summary recovery devotional

JMD Devotional 76 Nehemiah Summary

Some believers wonder if Christians should be in
politics. The story of Nehemiah testifies to how much
good one dedicated person can do who is fully
committed to God's Kingdom. He used his humble
position as 'the King's Cup Bearer' for all it was
worth. He provided strong, consistent leadership to
the Jews returning from exile to rebuild Jerusalem's
walls in the face of hostile neighbors. Without
someone making the personal sacrifices and serving
like Nehemiah, God's people would have been scattered
to the four winds centuries before the advent of Jesus
Christ. God is always looking for someone to take a
stand; will we be His representatives in our time and
culture?

Dear God,
May your people stand up and be counted. Place us in
positions where we can make a difference in this world
for your kingdom and glory. Give us the integrity,
courage and wisdom to be a positive influence.
Amen
