22 Leviticus 19:17 Engagement

JMD Devotional 22 Leviticus 19:17 Engagement

You shall not hate your brother in your heart; but you shall surely rebuke your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

Society would have us be passive and look the other way and not get involved when we see another sin. But where is the love for a soul that will one day face judgment? Caring sometimes requires civil conflict. Engage!

Dear God,
You are holy and your way is perfect. I am not without sin; but I accept the responsibility and obligation to be my brother’s keeper. Please give me the wisdom to engage error with restraint, love, grace and diplomacy.
Amen
